Dr. Rajbhandary graduated from Lake Forest College in 2010 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Chemistry. She then pursued a PhD degree from University of Rochester in Bioorganic chemistry which she obtained in 2016. While in Rochester she investigated the relationship between structure, self-assembly and hydrogelation ability of small peptides and Fmoc-protected Phenylalanine derivatives. Currently she is working on utilizing cationic Fmoc-protected phenylalanine derivative for formation of hydrogel that can be utilized for cell culture applications.
- Design and development of peptide and amino acid hydrogels
