Sanjaya Lama

Head: Dept. of Biomass & Bioenergy

Sanjaya Lama is a Ph.D. Scholar at Applied and Analytical Chemistry (TANC), Institute for Materials Research, Hasselt University, Belgium. His research interests include the areas of a sustainable source of biomass for food, feed, biofuel, and environmental applications. His current research focuses on the analysis of algogenic organic matter and the optimization of microalgal biomass harvesting. His work on microalgal biotechnology started since his M.S. by Research program at the Department of Biotechnology, Kathmandu University, Nepal and thesis research at KU Leuven, Campus Kulak, Belgium as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. He obtained his undergraduate degree in B. Tech. in Biotechnology from Kathmandu University.
