Sanjaya Lama is a Ph.D. Scholar at Analytical and Circular Chemistry (ACC) group, Institute for Materials Research (imo-imomec), Hasselt University, Belgium. His current research focuses on the analysis of algal organic matter and the optimization of microalgal biomass harvesting. His research interests encompass sustainable biomass sources for food, feed, specialty chemicals, and environmental applications. Sanjaya's journey in this field began during his MS by Research program at the Department of Biotechnology, Kathmandu University, and continued with his thesis research at KU Leuven Kulak, Belgium, as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. He holds an undergraduate degree in B. Tech. in Biotechnology from Kathmandu University.
