Professional Experiences
Mr. Nawanit has been working here as a research associate for more than a year. Previously, he graduated with a master’s in crop science from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany in 2017 and accomplished his Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from SANN International college, Gairidhara, Kathmandu in 2012. During his master studies he worked on a thesis entitled “Characterisation of reference genes for Uromyces appendiculatus” and during his bachelor studies he worked on “Molecular-physiological evaluation of submergence tolerance ability in selected rice germplasm”. He won second prize for poster presentation in ELLS Scientific student conference held in November 2015 at Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic.
- Isolation and characterization of Trichoderma spp. and determining its potential against different soil borne fungal pathogens of tomato under in vitro and in planta conditions.
- Isolation and characterization of microbes from bio decomposer used in smart bucket and from the leachate.
- Research Associate at Research Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology (RIBB) from August 1, 2018 until now.
- Consultant for molecular works in Plant Pathology Division, Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal (30 days Contract, May 15, 2018 - June 15, 2018)
