The Research Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology (RIBB) is a leading, non-profit academic research organization that aims to deliver insight, innovation, and leadership in today’s interdisciplinary and dynamic research environment. We have assembled a world class, scientific team that harnesses perspectives, approaches and techniques from multiple scientific disciplines and therapeutic areas to generate innovative solutions to challenging scientific problems.
Founded in 2011, RIBB serves as a focal point for graduate and undergraduate students, fellows, and associates pursuing research in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering, and Biomedical Sciences as well as Natural Therapeutics Discovery from natural product sources including bacteria, plants and other terrestrial sources. As an independent research institute, RIBB has the freedom to follow the science wherever it leads. RIBB is dedicated to providing outstanding young scholars at all levels of their careers with an education that integrates academic study, meticulous research and excitement of new discoveries with research facilities, technical support and intellectual stimulation.
Mission and Vision:
The RIBB was founded with a mission to advance science, engineering, innovation and education by collaborating with academic and other organizations to conduct high quality research in a world-class academic and professional environment.
Our goal is to develop a diverse group of committed, highly trained and competitive young investigators seeking to obtain collaborative, multidisciplinary research experience and develop careers in Life Science, Technology and Engineering.
RIBB is registered as a non-profit making and Non-Government Organization (NGO) under Kathmandu District Administrative Office (CDO) 2011 and Social Welfare Council (SWC) 2011 in the name of "Research Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology".
